Students may have a homework assignment to complete everyday with an announced due date. Homework can be due any day of the week. The due date will be announced when the assignment is given. When completing homework, the student must show all work.
No Work = No Credit. Homework is defined as time required outside of the school day for the typical student to complete independent assignments, preparation for tests/quizzes/projects, reading and skills practice. Math homework will cover concepts/skills that have already been addressed in class as well as any prerequisite skills.
Students who fail a test (below 70%) will be given an opportunity to retake the test and earn up to a 70%. Students will have one week to retake tests and will need to attend at least one tutorial session before any retakes. This does not include final semester examinations.
Students can earn back up to half of their missed points on tests 70% and above. If students are correcting a test, they must use an Error Analysis Form (see link below) and must have a parent signature. Students are also strongly encouraged to attend math tutorial time. This does not include final semester examinations.
